Buenos Aires, January 19. — Federal justice has processed Jesús Bernabé Mallón, known as 'El Tío', for being a fundamental piece in the triple narco murder of Florencio Varela, in which Brenda Loreley Del Castillo, Morena Verri, and Lara Morena Gutiérrez were killed last September 19 in the Buenos Aires locality of Florencio Varela. Judicial sources informed the Argentine News Agency that the decision was made by the head of Federal Criminal and Correctional Court No. 2 in Morón, Jorge Ernesto Rodríguez, who also made the same determination for Débora Mónica Mujica and Joseph Zavaleta. Regarding the three, the magistrate stated in his ruling that 'considering it proven that the aforementioned made essential and indispensable contributions to the commission of the criminal act, acting with knowledge of the common plan, under a scheme of division of tasks, from planning, logistics, recruitment and transportation of the victims, securing the place of captivity, to the subjugation and subsequent homicide of the same.' Mallón, 42, is accused of being responsible for logistical tasks and concealment after being seen alongside band members in the weeks leading up to the crime. 'El Tío' was arrested by DDI La Matanza officials in December last year while he was in a house in the locality of Berazategui, attempting to flee. Authorities considered his contribution to the structure essential to carry out the homicidal plan, which the justice system has been investigating since the discovery of the dismembered bodies of the young women five days before the judicial resolution. According to the judicial investigation, Mallón played a central role within the organization, maintaining direct and sustained contact with other members. Under the alias 'El Tío', he operated as the internal referent of the band, in charge of logistics and concealment of illicit activities, mainly linked to drug trafficking, and hidden behind the facade of an apparently legal business. During his arrest, officers seized six cell phones and a white Chevrolet Cruze, which would have been used by the accused in previous meetings considered key to the progress of the case. Mujica and Zavaleta, for their part, are accused of having collaborated in the concealment of the criminal plan, carrying out maneuvers to eliminate evidence and hinder the work of Justice. For the triple murder of Del Castillo (20), Verri (20), and Gutiérrez (15), Tony Janzen Valverde Victoriano, alias 'Pequeño J', and his alleged henchman, Matías Agustín Ozorio, are also detained, the former still in Peru awaiting extradition. Likewise, the other detainees are Miguel Ángel Villanueva Silva (25), Celeste Magalí González Guerrero (28), Iara Daniela Ibarra (19), Maximiliano Andrés Parra (18), surprised by the Police while cleaning blood stains on the property where the remains of the three victims were found. Later, Lázaro Víctor Sotacuro (41) was arrested, accused of being the driver of one of the vehicles that took the girls from La Matanza to the house in Florencio Varela; Ariel Jeremías Alexis Giménez (29), who would have dug the pits to bury the victims; and Milagros Florencia Ibáñez (20), Sotacuro's niece.
